Cytology tests deal with cells and body fluids. It mainly focuses on detecting cancerous cells.

2 types of cytology tests we offer:

• DIAGNOSTIC TEST: Diagnostic tests help in finding cancerous and non-cancerous cells. This is often used when in doubt of a particular disease and to find out precisely.
• SCREENING TEST If screen tests find a particular disease, a further investigation is prescribed by the doctor to classify the disease.

A biopsy is sometimes paired with either of the tests for confirmed diagnosis.

Samples can be taken from:

• CSF ~ from brain
• Pericardial fluid ~ from sac around the heart
• Sputum ~ from lung secretions
• Urine
• Pleural fluid ~ from lungs

Scraping is also suggested by doctors where cells from organ/tissue are taken to conduct the procedures.
